Create and record a new storyboard.

Note: Authorizing and promoting storyboards must be done through the Author Client.

Procedure

1.Click the Storyboards link on the navigation bar.

2.Select a folder you want to create a new storyboard in.

Note: If you do not select a storyboard folder then the storyboard will be created in the root.

3.Click Record new storyboard.

4.Type a name for the storyboard in the Storyboard name field.

Note: It is useful to provide a title that describes the overall process that you are recording. You can also choose a different language to create the storyboard in from the language drop-down field.

5.To change the owner and/or author of the storyboard, delete the existing owner or author first, and then click in the relevant field and start typing the name of the new owner or author. When the name of the user appears in the suggested list, click the user to add them.

6.Click START RECORDING.

You are now ready to start recording the steps of the storyboard.

7.Navigate to the map and diagram you want to start recording on.

8.Click each activity in order to record them as steps.

Note: You can navigate between diagrams and process maps using the Diagram explorer. You can also edit or delete steps when in recording mode by clicking x steps on the right-hand side of the panel to display all recorded steps. For example, you can assign key steps or provide custom commentary text. You can also do this after creating the storyboard.

9.Click Finish to stop recording the storyboard.

10.Enter a version number and any change log notes, if appropriate, and then click OK.

11.The storyboard will be saved and published to the user.
