Statistica Service Packaging

The Statistica Service packaging consists of a Spotfire distribution file StatisticaService.sdn. This distribution contains two Spotfire Server packages : StatisticaService.spk and StatisticaServiceEngine.spk.

• StatisticaService.spk: It contains implementation of the service itself. It is installed on one or more nodes (servers) managed by Spotfire Server. When requests for the Statistica Service are received by Spotfire Server, they are routed to this service. It handles unpacking the request payload, submitting the job to the Statistica Engine, and packaging and returning the results.
• StatisticaServiceEngine.spk: It contains the Statistica Engine. The distribution of core Statistica binaries that are capable of actually executing the workflows.
  Note: Alternatively, you can use a different engine by specifying its location in the configuration file.
