TIBCO Fulfillment Orchestration Suite (TIBCO FOS) provides a comprehensive suite of products that accelerates the concept-to-cash cycle for multi-play Communications Service Providers (CSPs) and Media / Entertainment distribution companies by automating the end-to-end process, from offer definition and design to the efficient, accurate fulfillment of associated orders.

TIBCO Fulfillment Orchestration Suite enables CSPs and Media companies to define new product and service offerings along with associated fulfillment rules and processes, while automating the delivery from order capture to network service activation. TIBCO FOS consists of pre-integrated and modular products that are compliant with TMF eTOM:

  • TIBCO® Product and Service Catalog - an enterprise master catalog that defines and manages the lifecycles of technical / service products and commercial offers.
  • TIBCO® Order Management (TIBCO OM) - TIBCO® Order Management is an elastic, catalog-driven order management system for digital service providers, such as telecom and media operators. It accepts orders from any customer engagement system, decomposes the order into the right elements, and orchestrates the tasks required for fulfilling the orders. 
    TIBCO Order Management covers both short-lived and long lead-time orders. Starting with this release, the previously independent TIBCO Order Management-Long Running and TIBCO Order Management-Low Latency product components have been consolidated into one OM product under the same GUI and API. 
    In the previous release, the capabilities of TIBCO Fulfillment Order Management (FOM) software were reorganized into two independent software products: TIBCO® Order Management (OM) and TIBCO® Offer and Price Engine (OPE). Customers who have an active maintenance or subscription contract for FOM are entitled to upgrade to both OM and OPE. TIBCO will continue to support FOM; there is currently no plan to retire TIBCO FOM. New capabilities will be developed in OPE and OM.
  • TIBCO® Fulfillment Provisioning - a provisioning system that automates the orchestration of activation tasks with underlying network services.
  • TIBCO® Product and Subscriber Inventory - a master repository to manage subscriber identities and entitlements, and integrates into the rest of the suite to provide subscriber data.
  • TIBCO® Offer and Price Engine - a cloud-native, in-memory omnichannel server of offers and prices for digital service providers.  It answers requests from a digital service provider's customer-facing channels for offers and prices, subject to business rules such as customer eligibility and product compatibility. TIBCO® Offer and Price Engine is the next generation of and partially replaces TIBCO® Fulfillment Order Management. To better align the direction of TIBCO® Fulfillment Order Management (TIBCO FOM) with market demand, the product’s capabilities have been reorganized into two new products: TIBCO® Order Management (TIBCO OM) and TIBCO® Offer and Price Engine (TIBCO OPE). Customers who are current on maintenance for TIBCO FOM are entitled to upgrade to both TIBCO OM and TIBCO OPE.

  • Uses SID as a reference data model, and its business processes conform to TM Forum’s rigorous Frameworx assessment / certification

TM Forum API Requirements

  • Natively supports product, order, and subscriber inventory APIs, making it easy to comply with TMF API requirements.

Convergent Fulfillment Suite

  • Provides a convergent solution set with support for long-running manual orders and short-lived automated orders that handles the fulfillment of any customer types, including residential, corporate, postpaid and prepaid; any network access technologies, including wireless/LTE and wire-line broadband; and any service types, including high-speed internet, voice, TV, content, and M2M and mobile payment services

Enterprise Product Catalog

  • Provides a unified repository of a CSP’s commercial, product, and service catalogs
  • Powered by TIBCO Master Data Management (TIBCO MDM), it provides complete control on product offering design, validation rules, and fulfillment policies from commercial product bundles down to resource-facing services
  • Aligned to TMF SID, catalog concepts are managed through user-friendly commercial and technical views
  • IT and OSS departments can build up customer services from network resources and service platform capabilities, which are then used by marketing and business departments to design commercial products and bundles

Product and Service Order Management

  • Accurately and efficiently automates the end-to-end lifecycle of customer orders received from order entry or CPQ application
  • Includes order establishment, capture, validation, decomposition, optimization, and orchestration
  • Interacts with TIBCO Product and Service Catalog to decompose product orders into logic of service orders which can be transparently provisioned by TIBCO Fulfillment Provisioning

Product and Subscriber Inventory

  • Provides a master repository to manage products and service entitlements activated for subscribers, and is integrated into the rest of the suite to provide subscriber data

High Performance Provisioning

  • Automates the end-to-end lifecycle of service orders received from TIBCO Order Management or other customer applications

Offer and Price Engine

  • Product offers, service bundles, and business rules are stored in the memory, enabling fast retrieval and presentation to any channel requests
  • Customer eligibility and product compatibility checks are baked into every request, ensuring accurate service levels across customer segments and selling channels
  • Embedded search engine supports keyword searches and guided navigation for a customer experience expected by digital natives who grew up with the internet
  • Product models are compliant with TM Forum’s SID standards, making it easy for syncing with TIBCO Product and Service Catalog or other TM Forum-compliant product catalogs
  • Requests from any digital channel are served using lightweight messages over REST APIs for an even faster performance
  • TIBCO Offer and Price Engine software is containerized and certified for deployment as a microservice using Kubernetes and OpenShift, allowing for horizontal scalability and continuous deployment and integration
  • TIBCO Offer and Price Engine software is now available as a standalone product, alongside TIBCO Order Management software, TIBCO Product and Service Catalog software, and TIBCO Product and Inventory
