TIBCO Enterprise Streaming - High-Performance FIX Engine is a license package available starting in July 2025. It includes TIBCO StreamBase® High-Performance FIX Engine.
Note: If you have a license for TIBCO Enterprise Streaming and TIBCO Enterprise Streaming - High-Performance FIX Engine, refer to the License Considerations for TIBCO Enterprise Streaming and TIBCO Enterprise Streaming Adapter Restrictions tabs on this page.
TIBCO® Enterprise Streaming is an assembly of TIBCO software technologies in a single licensable collection. The License Considerations for TIBCO Enterprise Streaming tab on this page describes the license restrictions for TIBCO Enterprise Streaming.
TIBCO Enterprise Streaming includes:
TIBCO StreamBase® Server
The StreamBase server is a set of runtime elements used for deploying a streaming data analysis application based on the TIBCO StreamBase EventFlow™ language. You can run a StreamBase EventFlow™ server locally during development, or prepare an application for external QA and production deployment. A StreamBase analysis application can be deployed in many configurations, from a single node up to multiple nodes in multiple geographic locations with redundant and failover processing.
TIBCO LiveView™ Server
The LiveView server is a StreamBase application that configures an incoming streaming data into published tables. LiveView clients then connect to the server, issue a LiveQL query against a table, and present the query results in a variety of tabular or graphical visualizations.
The StreamBase server instance that hosts the LiveView server can be optionally configured to manage the incoming data sources, transform the incoming data, preprocess it, or publish data to multiple LiveView data tables.
TIBCO StreamBase® Studio
StreamBase Studio, based on the Eclipse platform, is the development environment for StreamBase EventFlow and LiveView applications. You can use Studio to perform the following tasks:
TIBCO LiveView™ Web, Standard Edition
LiveView Web is a client development package that lets you create rich, browser-based visualizations of LiveView server data. The Standard Edition license supports production deployment with TIBCO Enterprise Streaming license only .
TIBCO® Enterprise Streaming Adapters
Adapters are programs that convert incoming data to the standard StreamBase format, or outgoing data from the StreamBase format to another format. Adapters can also be used to initiate a connection to, or monitor, an external data source.
A set of standard, premium, and FIX Adapters is packaged with TIBCO Enterprise Streaming. All the Adapters are included in your TIBCO Enterprise Streaming license.

TIBCO Enterprise Streaming includes documented APIs and support files for the following:
Data Streams for Cloud
TIBCO Enterprise Streaming includes a new feature called Data Streams for Cloud, a separately installable web service that allows you to create LiveView Tables (referred to as Data Streams) in private, public, or hybrid cloud environments from your web browser. Data Streams are managed windows of event data from a streaming data source backed by LiveView, that directly becomes available for analysis in TIBCO, or other clients using new REST interfaces.
TIBCO® Enterprise Streaming License
TIBCO Enterprise Streaming is a license package available starting in June 2025. The components of the TIBCO Enterprise Streaming package are described in What is TIBCO Enterprise Streaming? tab on this page.
Your TIBCO Enterprise Streaming license includes the right to run either TIBCO StreamBase® or TIBCO LiveView™ servers, or both, either singly or in multiples configured for data redundancy and/or high availability.
TIBCO Enterprise Streaming also includes the right to use the following features:
Spotfire® Enterprise Data Streams License
Spotfire Enterprise Data Streams is a license package available as an add-on for Spotfire®. The Spotfire Enterprise Data Streams package includes the same components as TIBCO Enterprise Streaming, and includes TIBCO Enterprise Streaming branding. Spotfire Enterprise Data Streams entitles customers to deploy TIBCO Enterprise Streaming components for the sole purpose of serving live data to Spotfire® clients. Sending data to any client other than Spotfire® requires the purchase of a separate license to TIBCO Enterprise Streaming.
TIBCO StreamBase® License
Your existing TIBCO StreamBase license is not automatically upgraded to a TIBCO Enterprise Streaming license. Your rights under your existing TIBCO StreamBase license continue unchanged for the term of that license.
Your TIBCO StreamBase license grants you the rights to deploy a StreamBase application on the number of TIBCO StreamBase Server instances described in the terms of your license.
TIBCO® Enterprise Streaming - FIX Adapters, Enterprise Streaming Premium Adapters and Standard Adapters licenses are included
Adapters are programs that convert data to and from the StreamBase tuple protocol. TIBCO Enterprise Streaming Adapters fall into three categories:
They are installed and licensed as part of the TIBCO Enterprise Streaming and Spotfire Enterprise Data Streams installation packages and licenses. The formal definition of which Adapters fall into the Standard, Premium, and FIX categories is described in Enterprise Streaming Adapter Restrictions tab on this page.
You are authorized to use the Adapters as part of your license to use TIBCO Enterprise Streaming according to the terms of your End User License Agreement.
Both the TIBCO Enterprise Streaming and Spotfire Enterprise Data Streams licenses include all three categories of adapters. Usage of any TIBCO Enterprise Streaming - FIX Adapter requires a TIBCO Enterprise Streaming - High-Performance FIX Engine license.
The test for your license status is your TIBCO Order Form. If a TIBCO Enterprise Streaming - High-Performance FIX Engine license is not listed on your Order Form, then you are not entitled to use the Engine and the TIBCO Enterprise Streaming - FIX Adapters.
The unit of measure for TIBCO Enterprise Streaming - FIX Adapters and TIBCO® Enterprise Streaming Premium Adapters is a Connector.
Non-StreamBase Support Files Licensed Separately
Certain Streaming Adapters require support files from other TIBCO product lines or other vendors. These files generally take the form of one or more JAR files. TIBCO Enterprise Streaming and Spotfire Enterprise Data Streams incorporate a build process that permits the end user to utilize an instance of the Apache Maven program to automatically download third-party software libraries for certain TIBCO Enterprise Streaming Adapters from public Maven repositories during the build time for such TIBCO Enterprise Streaming Adapter.
In addition, some Adapter-required support files must be manually downloaded from their vendor's website and then incorporated into your StreamBase development environment, as described in Using External JAR Files.
JAR files and other support files required to enable a Streaming adapter are licensed by their vendors and are not licensed as part of your StreamBase or Live Datamart license. This applies equally to support files from TIBCO products other than TIBCO Enterprise Streaming and Spotfire Enterprise Data Streams, as well as to products from other vendors. Make sure you have a license to use any required support files.
Some support files, such as the JAR files that implement JDBC access to a vendor's database, are generally provided without charge, but there can be a download license agreement at the vendor's site. Other support JAR files are made available only to licensees of the product in question.
