Installing TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Maven Plug-in

You can directly install TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Maven Plugin from the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ 6.8.0 installer. When you install the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ on your computer, the installer provides option to install the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Maven Plugin. All three installation modes, GUI, console, and silent, are supported for installation of TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Maven Plugin.

Before you begin

Install Apache Maven from https://maven.apache.org/download.cgi.
Set Maven home in the Environment Variables.

Procedure

Download TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ installer and extract the .zip file.
Launch installer by double-clicking the executable .exe file.
Select the Customize Installation check box to enable the selection of the Maven plugin.
Select the Maven Plugin check box.

Click Next. The pre-install summary shows Maven plugin in the list of products that are to be installed.
Click Next. The installation process begins.

ResultAfter successful installation, the maven folder is created in TIBCO home.

The installer executes the install.bat command during post-installation. However, if Apache Maven is not installed on your system, the script fails to install the .jar files in the local .m2 repository.

Note:

In case Apache Maven is not installed before installing TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Maven plugin, install Apache Maven and execute install.sh/install.bat from <TIBCO-HOME>\bw\6.x\maven\plugins\bw6-maven-plugin to install TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Maven Plugin.

You can edit the default Maven plugin preferences settings Window > Preferences.
