Introduction

  TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks BPEL Extension allows you to 
  create WS-BPEL orchestration processes within the TIBCO 
  ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks framework. This product builds upon the 
  strength of TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks for defining the 
  execution of automated business processing and adds the capability 
  to define service-based orchestrations. 

  TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks and the ActiveMatrix 
  BusinessWorks BPEL Extension together provide a powerful 
  application development platform that allows you to define a 
  service-oriented architecture and develop the implementation of 
  services.

Supported Platforms

  The installation package allows you to install one or more 
  components of the software on different machines in a TIBCO 
  Administration Domain. 

  All components can be installed on the following platforms:

	* AIX 5.2 and 5.3 on POWER
 
	* HP-UX 11i v2/11.23 on IA-64/Itanium
	* HP-UX 11i/11.11 on PA-RISC
 
	* Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1, 3.0, and 4.0 (GTK on x86)
	* Red Hat Linux 8.0 and 9 (GTK on x86)
	* SUSE Linux Enterprise 8.0 and 9 (GTK on x86) 
	* Oracle Unbreakable Linux 4 (GTK on x86)

	* Solaris 8, 9, and 10 on SPARC
	* Solaris 10 on x86
 
	Microsoft Windows Server 2003 on x86
	Microsoft Windows XP on x86
	Microsoft Windows 2000 on x86
	On Microsoft Windows platforms, only 32-bit applications are
	supported.

  *  Manual steps must be performed to enable TIBCO applications to 
     run in 64-bit mode. See TIBCO BusinessWorks Installation for 
     details.

 TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Release 5.9.0 is a prerequisite for
 the TIBCO ActiveMatrix Businessworks BPEL Extension. See the

 information about TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks.

  Online Access

    You can access the documentation set in PDF and HTML format.

    Before installation:

     - On the product CDROM in the doc folder.

     - From the product download site as directed by your TIBCO
       Representative.

    After installation:

     - From the Start menu on Microsoft Windows platforms.

     - For TIBCO Designer, choose Help > Designer Help or 
       Help > Help For from the menu bar, or right-click individual 
       resources and choose What Is This. 

     - For TIBCO Administrator, click the ? icon for online help. 

     - In the the <TIBCO_HOME>/bw/5.9/plugins/bwbpelext/doc folder  
       (where TIBCO_HOME is the folder where you installed TIBCO 
       BusinessWorks.
