Allows an implicit conversion from MData to short. Applications do not usually call this method directly; the SDK calls it internally each time a variable that is of one of the MData subclass types is called. As a result, the conversion from MData subclass types to regular C types is seamless.
Remarks
Adapters do not generally have to explicitly call these methods. They are documented here so you can see what implicit conversion you should expect.
Examples
MInteger mInt((short) 10);
short value = mInt; //implicit conversion to short
Exceptions
MException is thrown when there is a type mismatch.
