Creating an Entity Instance

An entity represents a complete key to an object, which is instantiated by providing attribute values.

1. Log in to SmartMapper Business UI, as described in Logging in to SmartMapper Business UI.
2. Click Entity from the menu.
3. Expand an application and select the entity that you want to add entity instances to.
4. Click in the left panel.
5. Provide a value for each predefined attribute in the New Entity Instance dialog. Click Save. These attributes are defined when creating the entity in TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper.    Note: If an attribute is followed by the word key in red, it indicates that the attribute is a key field. If not, the attribute is a non-key field. Additionally, if an attribute is marked with an asterisk (*), it indicates that an attribute is required.
