Starting the Server

Before logging in to SmartMapper Business UI, you need to start the SmartMapper Business UI server.

Prerequisites

Before starting the server, you need to complete the following tasks:

Configure the Property File
Add the official driver for the database specified in the property file to the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.0\admin\lib directory.

Note: If the SmartMapper ER Model in the specified database has been changed since the last time the server was started, you need to delete all the files residing in the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.0\admin\config\system directory before starting the server.

Procedure

On a command line, direct to the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.0\admin directory.
Run startserver.

A server.log file is generated in the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.0\admin\log directory.
