Uploading the Permission File

The user roles defined in the role_permissions.xml permission file are available to select only when the permission file is uploaded to SmartMapper Business UI.

Prerequisites

Ensure that you have updated the permission file, as described in Adding User Roles. Only the administrator has privilege to upload the permission file.

Procedure

  1. Click your account in the upper right corner of SmartMapper Business UI and click Permission Management.
  2. Click Choose File to direct to the location where the updated permission is located and click Upload.
    Note: The permission file to be loaded must be in XML format. If the permission file contains any non-existing relationships, applications, or entities, uploading fails.
    The uploaded permission file is located in the TIBCO_HOME\bw\palettes\smartmapper\7.0\admin\config\system\permissions_upload_folder directory.

    SmartMapper Business UI is refreshed automatically after the permission file is uploaded.

  3. Click Export to export the permission file currently in use.
