Defining Relationships and Participants

A relationship is a collection of entities that you want to bind together.

1. Click the Relationships tab in the SmartMapper ER Model editor.
2. Optional: Click Add Relationship Folder and type a folder name in the displayed Configuration tab.
3. Click Add Relationship and type a relationship name in the displayed Configuration tab.
4. Select the relationship type from Relationship Type list.

5. Click Add Participant to add a participant to the relationship.
6. In the Configuration tab, click to select an entity for the added participant.
7. If the relationship is an identity relationship, the Cardinality is many check box is displayed. You can select it or not based on your requirements.
