Preparing JDBC-Based SmartMapper Service

The plug-in supports storing relationship data in a database by using the JDBC-Based SmartMapper Service.

TIBCO BusinessWorks currently packages drivers for Microsoft SQL Server database. In addition, the plug-in also supports Oracle and MySQL databases, but you need to add the drivers before using the services.

To use the JDBC-based SmartMapper service, the following tasks need to be performed after installation:
  • Adding JDBC Drivers
    If you want to use MySQL or Oracle as the JDBC-based SmartMapper service, you need to add drivers separately for design time and runtime.
  • Setting Up Database Tables
    Regardless of which database you want to use as the JDBC-based SmartMapper service, you need to set up some basic tables by running database scripts.
