SmartMapper Life Cycle

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper provides an easy-to-use graphical user interface to maintain cross-referencing relationships for various applications.

A life cycle of TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper is composed with the following four phases:
  1. Model Phase

    In this phase, you build your own relationships between applications by creating a SmartMapper ER Model.

    Each SmartMapper ER Model is assigned to one persistent storage. If multiple SmartMapper ER Models are created, they must be separated. That is, a relationship only refers to entities in its own SmartMapper ER Model.

  2. Assemble Phase

    In this phase, you assemble your relationships that are created in the model phase. That is, configure a business process.

    There are two ways to configure a process, using individual activities in SmartMapper Palette, or using the SmartMapper Wizard, which is useful in case of a large number of lookups.

  3. Deployment Phase

    In this phase, you attach the BusinessWorks process to a physical architecture.

    You can deploy your BusinessWorks application by using an ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks engine which is configured with SmartMapper activities.

  4. Management Phase

    In this phase, you manage your relationship data by using SmartMapper Business UI, which is a web-based application. See TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SmartMapper Business UI User's Guide for more details.
