Storage Service

A storage service defines the back-end implementation and storage characteristics of a SmartMapper ER Model.

A storage service specifies whether the data is stored in a file or a database, see Storage Service for more details.

• JDBC-Based SmartMapper Service
  The JDBC-Based Service accesses a JDBC database to manage cross-referencing data. This service runs inside a TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks engine and uses a JDBC driver to read and write data to a database.
• File-Based SmartMapper Service
  The file-based service is used for small sets of data that are not often edited. Data stored in a file-based service are always read entirely into the memory. File-based service is generally used for development and demos or when the data is more or less static.
