Configuring Feature Dependencies

You can configure feature dependencies in the custom feature editor. Several operations are supported.

Prerequisites

Open the custom feature editor.
  • In the Project Explorer view, double-click the custom feature file.
  • Right-click the file and select Open With > Custom Feature Editor

Procedure

  1. Click the Dependencies tab.
  2. Choose an operation and follow the appropriate procedure.
    Operation Procedure
    Add from workspace
    1. Click .
    2. Click a feature.
    3. Click OK.
    Add from target platform
    1. Click .
    2. Click a feature.
    3. Click OK.
    Add manually
    1. Click .
    2. Specify a feature ID.
    3. Click OK. The feature is added with version range [1.0.0, 2.0.0).
    Delete
    1. Click a feature.
    2. Click .
