Support for Docker and Kubernetes Platforms

You can use ActiveMatrix Service Grid - Container Edition to run TIBCO ActiveMatrix applications on Docker and Kubernetes platforms (PaaS). You can deploy, monitor, and manage applications by using a Kubernetes-based orchestration framework. For more information about supported versions and platforms, see the Readme file.

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Support

You can run ActiveMatrix Service Grid - Container Edition components on Red Hat OpenShift container platform.

Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) Platform Support

You can run ActiveMatrix Service Grid - Container Edition components on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) platform.

Application Configurator UI

Using the Application Configurator interface, you can configure different entities such as properties, substitution variables, bindings, resource templates, logging configuration, and JVM arguments for an application. You can view the YAML configuration in a browser or can download the configuration as a .zip file. This configuration is required to containerize an application. For more information, see Introduction to Application Configurator.

Application Extractor

Using Application Extractor tool you can migrate applications running in ActiveMatrix Service Grid 3.x to ActiveMatrix Service Grid - Container Edition. You can use the Application Extractor tool to extract the application DAA and the application deployment configuration from ActiveMatrix Service Grid 3.x setup and use the extracted files to containerize the application. Application Monitor

You can monitor applications running on Docker and Kubernetes platforms by using the Application Monitor dashboard. You can monitor these applications by deploying ActiveMatrix Service Grid - Container Edition Application Monitor agent on a supported cloud platform. The dashboard displays data related to Kubernetes (pods, replicas, deployments, and namespaces) and TIBCO ActiveMatrix entities (nodes, environments, and applications) on a single dashboard. TIBCO Hawk® Monitoring

ActiveMatrix Service Grid - Container Edition provides a Hawk microagent to monitor the application by using TIBCO Hawk®. Each ActiveMatrix Service Grid - Container Edition node contains one Hawk microagent. For more information, see Monitoring Applications by Using TIBCO Hawk Microagent.

Java 11 Support

ActiveMatrix Service Grid - Container Edition supports Java 11 as a runtime environment.
