Model Driven Architecture and Development

TIBCO Business Studio provides a model-driven development environment in which to create applications.

The following types of model are used:

Process model
the formal representation of a business process designed to be run by TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM. For example, a claims management, recruitment or car hire process.
Organization model
the formal representation of the organization against which the process will be run. For example, the EasyAs Insurance company.
Business object model
the formal representation of the business domain data that will be used by the process. For example, a customer record or an order line.
(optionally) user interface
the formal representation of how a particular user task in a process is to be displayed at runtime. For example, a TIBCO Form or a pageflow process.
(optionally) business service
a specific version of a pageflow process, used to provide an interactive "process starter" mechanism for Workspace and Openspace users.

See Modeling and Implementing Applications for more information about these models.
