The connection represented by an LDAP source must be defined in the TIBCO ActiveMatrix runtime using
LDAP connection and
LDAP authentication shared resources. (This can be done when TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM is installed, or later using TIBCO Administrator.)
Both an LDAP source and an LDAP connection shared resource can (optionally) be configured to define a base Distinguished Name (DN) to use as their search base for all searches. With this flexibility, an administrator can create as many or as few LDAP containers as they need, each providing access to the desired subset of information available from the corporate directories.
