Data Views
Case data is stored as case data models and is centrally managed by ActiveMatrix BPM and can therefore be accessed and updated by multiple BPM process applications.
When a case data model is deployed from TIBCO Business Studio, case data tables representing that case data model must be created and notified in the case data store. Once this has been done, instances of process applications that use that case model can be started and run.
Data views enable you to search for case data that match multiple criteria. The criteria can refer to searchable attributes of the case data itself, as well as attributes of global data contained within the case data. You can also use AND/OR constructs, that can themselves be nested. Data views return the case data references that match your search criteria.
There are two ways to use dataviews:
- to perform ad-hoc searches. In other words, searches you want to perform once only. See Performing an Ad-hoc Search.
- to perform a search that you can save and use again. Using Dataviews.
