Event Rules File

The event rules file ec-event-rules.xml defines which messages, as defined by message ID, by severity, or both, will be audited, and which attributes will be published, either for all published messages or for particular messages.

The jmspublish target allows multiple channels to be created. Each must have a unique name. One channel definition must have no qualifier (the default channel). All the others must have a qualifier specified that contains the name of the shared resource in a comma separated list. See Publishing BPM Audit Data Over Multiple Channelsfor more information.

Note: The rules in the ec-event-rules.xml file act only on those messages that are passed to the Event Collector by the rules in the ec-probe-rules.xml file. For example, if you want to audit the custom work item attributes you must edit the ec-probe-rules.xml file to include them, as described in Audit of Custom Work Item Attributes.

It must reside in the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM configuration directory. For example, C:\ProgramData\amx-bpm\tibco\data\bpm\amx.bpm.app\configuration folder.

Attention: The ec-event-rules.xml file contains, not only the audit and JMS publish target channels, but also another channel called StagingAreaTrigger. This is an internal channel and should NOT be touched.
