Editing the Audit Rules File
You can make changes to the auditing process by editing the ec-probe-rules.xml file.
You can edit this file dynamically: changes that you make and save are picked up periodically, with no need to restart any component of the ActiveMatrix BPM system.
Warning: TIBCO recommends you not to make any changes to this file except those that are explicitly described in this document. If you do not follow this recommendation, the performance of the ActiveMatrix BPM system may be adversely affected, even in parts of the system that are not obviously related to the changes that you have made.
Warning: You must be careful when editing the file because the
ec-probe-rules.xml file contains rules that are specific to Business Services and case data objects so you must be careful to edit the correct rule. Business Services audits the contents of case data objects by populating the
managedObjectDetails attribute. This feature is not enabled by default. For this reason, the rules that are specific to Business Services remove this attribute. For example, the rule
LocalLoggingProcess has a counterpart used by Business Services called
LocalLoggingProcessNoManagedObjectDetails that strips the
managedObjectDetails from the locally logged message.
