Using TIBCO Configuration Tool

To configure ActiveMatrix BPM to use the new password by using TIBCO Configuration Tool, run the tool and select the Edit TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM Instance wizard. Use the wizard to stop the ActiveMatrix BPM application. After changing the password, rerun the wizard to update ActiveMatrix BPM and restart the application.

Procedure

  1. On the machine on which ActiveMatrix BPM is running, run TIBCO Configuration Tool:

    TIBCO_HOME\bpm\n.n\bin\tct

    where TIBCO_HOME is the directory into which ActiveMatrix BPM is installed and n.n is the ActiveMatrix BPM version number.

  2. In the TIBCO Configuration Folder dialog, ensure that an appropriate folder is selected, and click OK.
  3. In the Create new configurations dialog, click Edit TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM Instance.
    The Edit TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM Instance wizard is started.
  4. On the Welcome page, ensure that the correct environment name and application name are displayed. In the Edit Action to be Performed list, select Stop AMX-BPM Product Application.
  5. On the Administrator Server Configuration page, ensure that the details are correct, and click Next.
  6. On the Summary page, click Configure.
  7. When the specified ActiveMatrix BPM application has been stopped, click Close.
  8. Change the password of the ActiveMatrix BPM runtime database, using the appropriate software provided by the database vendor. If ActiveMatrix BPM Business Data Services (BDS) uses a separate database, change the password of this database too.
  9. In the TIBCO Configuration Tool Create new configurations dialog, click Edit TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM Instance.
    The Edit TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM Instance wizard is started.
  10. On the Welcome page, ensure that the correct environment name and application name are displayed. In the Edit Action to be Performed list, ensure that Edit AMX-BPM Application is selected.
  11. On the Administrator Server Configuration page, ensure that the details are correct, and click Next.
  12. On the Select Edit Configurations page, select the Edit the database used by the AMX-BPM system check box, then click Next.
  13. On the Runtime Database Configuration page, change the password to match the new runtime database password. Click Test Connection to check that the database can be accessed using the details on this page. Click Next.
  14. On the BDS Database Configuration page, if BDS uses a separate database, ensure that the Use different database to other AMX-BPM components check box is selected, and change the password to match the new BDS database password. Click Test Connection to check that the database can be accessed using the details on this page. Click Next.
  15. On the Summary page, click Configure.
  16. When the specified ActiveMatrix BPM application has been edited and restarted, click Close.
  17. In the Create new configurations dialog, click Close.
