Specifying a Sort Order

Sort order is applicable only if you have specified multiple sort attributes. It allows you to specify that the list be sorted first on one attribute, then on another attribute, and so on.

The dailog shows the sort attributes with an arrow beside each one.

In this example, all work items with a priority of 1 are listed first — those work items are then sorted by start date. Then all of the work items with a priority of 2 are listed — those work items are then sorted by start date, and so on. (Note that for this example both attributes are sorted in "ascending" order).
