Scope of System Actions

When system actions are configured in the organization model using TIBCO Business Studio, they can be configured at two levels: the organization model level, or the group, organization unit, or postion level.

  • Organization model level - Most system actions are configured at this level. They control access to most functions in the application, based on privileges held by the logged-in user.
  • Group, organization unit, or position level - There are also a number of system actions that are scoped, that is, they can be set on specific groups, organization units, or positions.

    The scoped system actions are specifically used to control access to, and functions from, supervised work lists. Supervised work lists are lists containing work items that were sent to another resource, or directly to a group or position.
