Adding a Service or Reference to a Composite

You can add a service or reference to a composite from the canvas, the palette, or the Properties view.

Procedure


  • Starting Point Procedure
    Canvas
      1. Right-click and select Add > Promoted Service or Reference.
      1. Hover in the composite canvas near the composite name.
      2. Click the Service or Reference icon in the popup toolbar.
    Palette
    1. Click the Service or Reference icon in the Palette. The selected Palette entry is highlighted.
      • Service - Hover over the left edge of the composite.
      • Reference - Hover over the left edge of the composite.
    3. When the edge is highlighted, click the left mouse button.
    Properties View
    1. Click the Services or References tab.
    2. Click the Add icon ().
    A service or reference with an error badge named Servicen or Referencen respectively is added to the composite.
