Installing Apache HTTP Server on Windows 64-bit Platform

You can install the Apache server on the Windows platform.

Procedure

  1. Go to http://www.apachelounge.com/download/win64/
  2. Follow VC10 SP1 vcredist_x64.exe to install the Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package x64.
  3. Download the supported Apache 2.4.x win64 binary httpd-2.4.7-win64.zip file to install the Apache HTTP Server. Refer to the Apache HTTP Server documentation for complete installation details.
    Note:
    • Download the latest point release of the Apache 2.4 win64 binary from http://www.apachelounge.com/download. (For example, httpd-2.4.7-win64-VC11.zip is available at the time of this release.)
