Postinstallation Steps

These postinstallation steps on Linux are optional.

You need these steps only if you want to manage symbolic links in ActiveSpaces by using the alternative system. The script creates an alternative link group called activespaces and adds symbolic links for ActiveSpaces binaries, libraries, and header files to /usr/bin, /usr/lib, and /usr/include respectively.

    Procedure
  1. Navigate to /opt/tibco/as/5.0/scripts/post_install.
    The scripts add symbolic links to /usr/bin and /usr/lib for the TIBCO binaries and libraries. This way, you need not add /opt/tibco/as/5.0/bin to the PATH, or add /opt/tibco/as/5.0/lib to LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
  2. Run the installation scripts. 
    sudo activespaces_alternatives_install.sh
