Set Up a Trading Partner

The trading partner setup consists of these steps:

Create a Trading Partner

To set up the trading partner, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Partners link in the Partner Management panel.

  2. Click the Create Partner button on the top panel.

  3. Type Company2 in the Name field.

  4. Click Proceed.

  5. Click Done.

Enable the Gateway Protocol

  1. Select Company2 link.

  2. Click the Protocols tab.

  3. Select the Gateway check box.

Set the Transport

To set the transport:

  1. Click the Edit Configurations button next to the Gateway check box.
  2. Click the Transports tab.
  3. Click Add Outbound Transport.

  4. Provide the transport name as FILE and select FILE from the Type list.

  5. In the URL field, type /<shared_directory_path>/<folder_for_outbound_files>. For example, /root/NFS/outboundFile where root is the root folder, NFS is the shared directory and outbound File is the file location to place the outbound files.

  6. Click Add.
