Configure the Trading Host on the Trading Partner Machine

To configure the trading host on the trading partner machine, create the trading host and configure the protocol for the trading host.

Create the Trading Host on the Partner Machine

To create the trading host and set it as the default host, perform the following steps:

    Procedure

  1. On the Partner Management tile, click Hosts.

  2. On the Hosts page, click Create Host, which is on the top-right corner of the page.

  3. In the Host Name field, enter Company2.

  4. Click Proceed.

  5. Select the Make this as Default Host checkbox.

  6. Click Done.

Configure the Host Protocol on the Partner Machine

For this tutorial, disable all protocols except for the X12 protocol. The interchange qualifier and ID are then configured for the X12 protocol.

Enabling The X12 Protocol

    Procedure

  1. Go to Partner Management > Hosts > Company2.

  2. On the Protocols tab, disable all the protocols except X12 by clearing the checkboxes of other available protocols.

Setting The Interchange Qualifier and ID

    Procedure

  1. Go to Partner Management > Hosts > Company2.

  2. Click Edit Configurations next to the X12 checkbox.

  3. Click the Add icon next to the Default Interchange Qualifier ID field.

  4. In the Add New dialog, select 01 from the Domain Type list.

  5. In the ID field, enter 987654321.

  6. Click Add.

  7. In the Default Interchange Qualifier ID field, select 01-987654321.

  8. Click Save.
