RosettaNet Configurations for Partners

To configure the RosettaNet protocol for partners, see the following tabs and perform the steps listed below:

General Tab

Note: To add codes, see Configuration Store Metadata.

Procedure

  1. In the General tab, provide the following details:
    General
    Fields Description
    Default Domain Identity Search or select the type of the domain from the drop-down list. If you do not find the default domain Identity, create a new identifier. For more information on creating an identifier, see next field in this table.
    Click add icon to add new identifier. Enter the following details in the new Add New dialog box:
    • Domain Type: Select the type of the domain from the drop-down list.
    • ID: Enter an ID for the selected domain name.

    Click Add.

    The list of domains and their respective IDs are displayed in the Identifiers List tab. You can search or delete one or more identifiers from the list.

    Partner Classification Code Search or select type of the partner classification code from the drop-down list.
    Supply Chain Code Search or select type of the supply chain code from the drop-down list.
    Valid Email Address List Enter a valid email address of the partner.
    Assume all Roles Select the Assume all Roles check box to enable all the user roles.
    Support Client Authentication Where Required Require HTTPS with client authentication for all incoming documents from this partner, except when the partner responds to a request that has been sent via HTTP or email. If selected, this requirement will also be applied to all partner-initiated PIPs.
    Use Digital Signature Where Required Enable the use of digital signatures when exchanging messages with this partner. You must select this option in order to sign any outbound document for this partner or verify the digital signature in any inbound document from this partner.
    Outbound Document Inline Replacement Enable field substitutions when sending messages to this partner.
    Note: This feature requires an external property, which is not supported for this release.
    Enable Exchange of PIP0A1 (NOF) Enable the exchange of PIP 0A1 messages.
    RNIF 2.0 Settings
    Enable Debug Header with RNIF2.0 (Test mode only) Allow debug headers to be used.
    MIME Content Transfer Encoding RNIF 2.0 only) The encoding of the outbound message.
    Host Document Validation Settings :
    Override Host Inbound Document Validation Override the validation of inbound documents as configured in the General tab of a host participant’s Edit Enabled Protocol: RosettaNet panel. You must also specify a schema type in the Host Inbound Document Validation drop-down list. Note Implementation of this feature also requires that the Inbound Document Validation (XSD) checkbox is selected for the host that is in a business agreement with this partner.For more information, see General tab for hosts.
    Host Inbound Document Validation Specifies the type—XSD, DTD, or NONE—of validation of inbound documents from this trading partner.
    Override Host Outbound Document Validation

    Override the Outbound Document Validation setting in the General tab of a host participant. You must also specify a schema type in the Outbound Document Validation drop-down list.

    Outbound DocumentValidation

    Specifies the type—XSD, DTD, or NONE—of validation of outbound documents from this trading partner.

    Private Process Settings:
    Forward Response Document Only When Response Acknowledgement Succeeds

    Enforce that the response acknowledgment be sent successfully to this trading partner before TIBCO BusinessConnect Container Edition-RosettaNet Protocol forwards the inbound response document to the private process. This checkbox is selected by default.

    Clear this checkbox to allow the private process to receive the response document even if the response acknowledgment to this partner fails. Note that the same checkbox must be cleared in the host RosettaNet protocol panel in order to disable this option

  2. Click Save.

Linking Roles

You can search linked roles, link or unlink roles using Roles tab.

Procedure

  1. If you do not find any roles linked in the Roles tab, click Link Roles .
  2. A new dialog box opens in which you can select one or more roles and click Link Roles.
    1. If the linked roles already exist on the Roles tab, choose the following options according to your requirement:
    Option Description
    Search To search for the linked roles .
    Link Roles To link additional roles.
    Unlink Roles To remove the role from the list of linked roles.
  3. Click Save.
    Note: You can add cusotmized roles to the list in this tab. See Configuration Store Metadata for a list of all configuration store metadata for RosettaNet

Managing Transports for Partners

You can search, add, configure and delete the transports for a partner.

Procedure

  1. To search for the transports, perform the following step:
    1. Enter the search string by using the wild card to substitute any characters before, after, or before and after the string you are entering.
      The names of one or more transports that correspond to the search criteria only are displayed.
  2. To create new outbound transports, perform the following steps:
    1. On the Transport tab, click Add Outbound Transports.
      Note: If you want to add transports further to the list of already existing transports, click add icon.
      The Add Transport dialog box is displayed.
    2. In the Add Transport dialog box, enter the following details:
      Add Transport
      Field Description
      Transport Name Enter the name of the transport.
      Transport Type Select the type of transport from the drop-down list: HTTP, HTTPS, EMAIL.
    3. Click Add.
    Note: Depending upon the type of the transport you create, additional fields are displayed in the Add Transport tab. For more information about fields, see transports chapters in TIBCO BusinessConnect Conatiner Edition Trading Partner Management guide.
  3. To delete one or more type of outbound transports, perform the following steps:
    1. On the Transports tab, select the transport that you wish to delete and then click Delete icon.
    2. When you are asked for the confirmation for deleting the transports, click OK.
  4. Click Save.
