Third-party Software Requirements

Additional third-party software is required when you install TIBCO Business Studio - BPM Edition. The following software and assemblies are required:

  • JRE 1.8.x (included in installation). We recommend that users stay up to date with Java patches issued by Oracle.

  • Hibernate Version 3.2.7 (assembly_tibco_com_tibco_tpcl_org_hibernate_feature_3.2.500.002.zip).

    Note: You must use a Hibernate Assembly that you have downloaded from TIBCO. Otherwise, the installation fails.

    • During the installation process for TIBCO Business Studio - BPM Edition, you can do one of the following:

    • Allow the TIBCO Business Studio - BPM Edition installer to automatically download and install Hibernate.

    • Install TIBCO Business Studio - BPM Edition using a Hibernate assembly that you have previously downloaded from TIBCO. During installation, you are prompted to specify the directory where you downloaded Hibernate.

      Note:   If you want the installer to automatically install Hibernate, make sure you are online.
      When downloading Hibernate, the number in the package name refers to the assembly number and not the version of Hibernate. This can be misleading as the assembly number is not the same as the Hibernate version number. For example, the package name when downloading Hibernate Version 3.2.7 is assembly_tibco_com_tpcl_ord_hibernate_feature_3.2.500.002.zip.

  • Eclipse SWT (Standard Web Toolkit) GTK

    The TIBCO Business Studio - BPM Edition installer for Linux 64 bit distributions downloads the Eclipse SWT GTK module which contains these two items:

    • The Free Software Foundation, Gnome Binding

    • The Free Software Foundation, GTK+ Binding The zip file required is product_tibco_eclipse_lgpl_4.7.1.001_linux24gl23_x86_64.zip.

      During the installation process for TIBCO Business Studio - BPM Edition the steps are very similar to using Hibernate. An installation dialog comes up for accepting the license and then gives an option to download the assembly from the TIBCO public website or select it from the disk.

      Note: You require a minimum GTK+ version 2.24.
