Apache Ignite as a Cluster Provider

You can now configure Apache Ignite also as a cluster provider along with Apache Ignite cache without any additional installation.

Custom Stores

You can now implement custom stores for your project by using the new com.tibco.cep.store.custom API. Also, you can implement a custom metric store by using the updated com.tibco.cep.runtime.appmetrics API.

To refer to the reference implementations of Redis as a persistent store and Elasticsearch as a metric store by using the custom store API's, see reference implementations on GitHub.

Apache Ignite Cache Enhancements

• You can use the native querying for Apache Ignite as a cache provider to improve the query performance. For details, see Query the Cache Using BQL Queries.

• The cache hit ratio is also included in the MBeans for Ignite cache.

• The Hostaware Hostname field under Ignite configurations that was used to simulate multihost cluster on the same host can now be configured by using the be.ignite.hostaware-hostname property. For details, see Configuring Apache Ignite as a Cache Provider.

• Added support to encrypt data stored on disc for Apache Ignite cache. It can be configured in the CDD editor, encryption is used to enable the encryption and identity file to specify the key store path and password. For details, see Configuring Apache Ignite as a Cache Provider.

WebStudio

In the WebStudio, you can set the autoresize strategy for decision table columns.

Channel Enhancements

• A new serializer type for JMS messages that only uses TextMessage rather than BytesMessage. For details, see SOAP over JMS Support in WSDL Import and Export.

• For Kafka channels, a new serializer KafkaTextPayloadSerializer is provided with the text payload. For details, see Kafka and the Kafka Streams Channel.

IPv6 Support

TIBCO BusinessEvents now supports IPv6 too, at all the places where it accepts IPv4. However, if other TIBCO or external products are involved, the other product must also support IPv6.

Miscellaneous Enhancements

• You can now configure alias for keywords used in column names for Cassandra and TIBCO ActiveSpaces stores. For details, see Step 3 If Needed - Map Key (Reserved) Words to Aliases.

• Added ontology functions in concepts and events to retrieve URI.

• Now you can get application metrics for Scorecards as well along with concept and events.

• Added a new Store.update() function for TIBCO ActiveSpaces under CEP Store catalog functions. For details, see TIBCO BusinessEvents Functions Reference.

• Added support for migrating the TIBCO BusinessEvents 5.6.x projects that use EXT ID to TIBCO BusinessEvents 6.x to use the user defined primary key. For details, see Migrating Data from Old TIBCO BusinessEvents Projects to Version 6.x.

• Upgraded the Eclipse version to 4.17.
