Explicitly Configured Auxiliary Fields
For more complex calculations involving different items of data, you can configure auxiliary fields explicitly. You generally configure auxiliary fields if the average is between two different things such as inventory items and warehouses.
Metric Configuration
When you use explicitly configured auxiliary fields, you add them as metric fields, and compute their values in a rule, as you would any other metric field. The complex aggregation field value is then calculated based on the auxiliary field values. When you define the complex aggregation type field, you specify which other fields in the metric are used as its auxiliary fields.
