Types of Users
TIBCO BusinessEvents Views has two main components, a server-side component, configured in TIBCO BusinessEvents Studio, and Dashboard, a browser-based component for business users.
Developers
Using TIBCO BusinessEvents Studio, Dashboard developers define dashboard pages and charts. They define what incoming data to compute as metrics, how to filter and represent it in different charts, and who can see it. As a developer, you manage all the project elements that comprise the design-time project, and the configuration settings that enable good performance. You define which roles in the organization can access a specific dashboard component. The design-time components and configuration settings are part of a larger TIBCO BusinessEvents project that also may be part of your responsibility, depending on your development environment.
For more details on set of tasks, see Developer Task Summary .
Business Users (Dashboard Users)
Using the browser-based Dashboard component, business users (referred to in documentation as Dashboard users) navigate dashboard pages use charts and (depending on developer configuration) use Search pages to drill down to data behind the chart and make ad-hoc queries to make decisions based on real-time business information.
Information for Dashboard users is provided in TIBCO BusinessEvents Views User’s Guide.
