TIBCO BusinessEvents

The source of Dashboard information is generated by a TIBCO BusinessEvents application developed by IT staff in your organization. TIBCO BusinessEvents is complex event processing software. TIBCO BusinessEvents listens for events occurring in the various systems of an organization, stores data about the events, and takes actions according to rules that are triggered by the events.

Two main types of users work with TIBCO BusinessEvents Views.

Developers

At the server side of the product, developers filter and enrich the flow of information made available by TIBCO BusinessEvents to provide useful metrics. They prepare the components to display the metrics and organize it into dashboard pages for users in different roles. They may also perform system-level configuration to ensure good performance, and they define access control. These tasks are done in the development user interface, TIBCO BusinessEvents Studio. Dashboard Users

At the client (browser) side of the product, Dashboard users view information and alerts in Dashboard charts and on the search page to make decisions based on real-time business information. Dashboard users include people who make organizational decisions and take actions to keep the organization successful. Some examples are supervisors of a production line, a package delivery warehouse or an airline baggage handling center, and business or marketing analysts.
