Uninstalling the Software

In the case of a service pack release, this procedure uninstalls the entire product, not just the service pack. It is not possible to uninstall only a service pack.

Uninstall in GUI Mode

To uninstall the software in the GUI mode, do the following:

1.

Run the universal uninstaller in one of the following ways:

Navigate to the _uninst directory located in the TIBCO_HOME directory and run the universal_uninstall program.

(Windows) From the Start menu, go to Start > All Programs > TIBCO > TIBCO_HOME > Universal Uninstaller.

The Welcome screen appears.

Click Next.

Do one of the following:

To uninstall just this add-on (or any specific TIBCO products in this TIBCO_HOME), click Custom Uninstall. Check the appropriate checkboxes, then click Next.

To uninstall all TIBCO products that were installed using the universal installer, click Typical Uninstall, then click Next.

The Pre-Uninstall Summary screen appears.

Click Uninstall.

5.

To remove modified files, click Yes to All.

6.

On the Post Uninstall Summary screen, click Finish to close the uninstaller window.

7.

Perform manual cleanup to completely remove all files as desired.

Uninstall in Console Mode

To uninstall the software in the console mode, do the following:

1.

Open a console window and navigate to the directory:

TIBCO_HOME/tools/universal_installer

2.

Run the TIBCOUniversalInstaller in console mode using the command:

TIBCOUniversalInstaller -console

3.

Respond to the prompts on the console window to uninstall the software.

Uninstall in Silent Mode

To uninstall TIBCO BusinessEvents in the silent mode, do the following:

1.

Open a console window and navigate to the directory:

TIBCO_HOME/tools/universal_installer

2.

Run the TIBCOUniversalInstaller in silent mode using the command:

TIBCOUniversalInstaller -silent -V uninstallTIBCOHome="<TIBCO_HOME>" -V uninstallProductID="<productID>" -V uninstallProductVersion="<productVersion>"
