Installing in GUI Mode

In GUI mode, the installer prompts you for information regarding the installation environment, installation profile, and other installation information.

Procedure

  1. Open the physical media or download the installation package from the TIBCO eDelivery site (https://edelivery.tibco.com).
    On the TIBCO eDelivery site, the installation package of this plug-in is included in the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for ActiveSpaces package.
    To download the installation package, a user name and a password are required. If you do not have a user name or password, contact TIBCO Technical Support.
  2. Extract the content of the installation package to a temporary directory.
  3. Use the extracted installation package to start the installation in one of the following ways:
    • On Microsoft Windows, double-click TIBCOUniversalInstaller-x86-64.exe.
    • On Linux, run TIBCOUniversalInstaller-lnx-x86-64.bin.
  4. In the Welcome dialog, click Next.
  5. In the License Agreement dialog, read through the license agreement and click I accept the terms of the license agreement. Click Next.
  6. In the TIBCO Installation Home dialog, click Use an existing TIBCO_HOME to select an existing installation environment where ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ is to be installed. Click Next.

  7. In the Installation Profile Selection dialog, choose either of the following options:
    • If you want the typical installation, click Next. (By default, Typical installation is selected.)
    • If you want to customize the installation, select Customize Installation and then select the components you want to install. See Installation Components for more details.
  8. In the TIBCO AS Configuration dialog, select the Use ASDG HOME check box and select a directory for TIBCO ActiveSpaces DataGrid. Click Next.
  9. In the Pre-Install Summary dialog, review the list of products selected for the installation. Click Install.
  10. In the Post Install Summary dialog, review the list of the installation information. Click Finish to complete the installation process and exit the installer.
    Note: If you want to use any other version of ActiveSpaces® and not the default version (4.6.0) provided, then you must replace the tibdg.jar file in the following folders with the version from AS4.x installation folder ASDG_HOME/lib.
