Postinstallation Tasks

After installing the plug-in, you must download the corresponding JDBC driver, and save it to a specific directory. Otherwise, the plug-in cannot work properly, or some features might not be available.

The JDBC drivers are grouped into different JDBC driver types. Based on the JDBC driver type that you specify in the BC Connection shared resource, download the corresponding driver from the following website:

After downloading the corresponding driver, save it to the JDBC driver directory that you specify in the Directory preference field by using the TIBCO Business Studio menu Window > Preferences > BusinessWorks > Palettes > JDBC. By default, the directory is TIBCO_HOME/bw/version_number/config/design/thirdparty.

When you select Oracle OCI from the JDBC Driver Type list in the BC Connection shared resource, you have to perform the following tasks:
  1. Download the ojdbc6.jar file from the following website, and then save it to the specified JDBC driver directory:

  2. Download and install the instant client from the following website:
