NetSuite Connection Shared Resource

The NetSuite Connection shared resource contains all necessary parameters to establish a connection to an instance of your enterprise data set hosted on the NetSuite platform.

This shared resource only supports HTTPS connection and is used for all the supported activities to manage your enterprise data. For more details about how to create a NetSuite connection shared resource, see Creating a NetSuite Connection Shared Resource.

General

In the General panel, you can specify the package that stores the NetSuite connection shared resource and the shared resource name. The General panel contains the following fields:

Package No (Optional) The name of the package.
Name No (Required) The name of the shared resource.
Description No (Optional) A short description of the resource.

NetSuite Connection Configuration

In the NetSuite Connection Configuration panel, you can provide the information of the NetSuite system that the plug-in connects to. The NetSuite Connection Configuration panel contains the following fields:

Login Email Yes (Optional) The email address to access the NetSuite system.
Note: The Login Email is required when the Authentication Type is USER CREDENTIALS.
Login Password Yes (Optional) The password to access the NetSuite system.
Note: The Login Password is required when the Authentication Type is USER CREDENTIALS.
Login Account Yes (Required) The account number.
Note: If the values you input in the Login email and Login Password fields are correct, the value in this field can be automatically displayed after you click Retrieve Account Information.
Endpoint Version No (Required) The version of the endpoint you want to connect to.
Authentication Type No (Required) The method you use to connect to the NetSuite service.
  • If you choose USER CREDENTIALS, input a valid value in the Application Id field; then you can use a new version of the SuitTalk WSDL and Schemas (version 2017_2_0 is the default version of WSDL).
  • If you choose TOKEN BASED AUTHENTICATION, input valid values in the fields Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Token Id, andToken Secret.
    Note: You can use TOKEN BASED AUTHENTICATION only when the WSDL versions are 2015_2_0 and later.

    To use TOKEN BASED AUTHENTICATION authentication type, you also have to set your computer time in the Timezone correctly.

Login Role Yes (Required) The role with which you log in to the NetSuite system.
Note: If the values you input in the Login email and Login Password fields are correct, the value in this field can be automatically displayed after you click Retrieve Account Information.
Application ID Yes (Required when Authentication Type is USER CREDENTIALS and the WSDL versions are 2015_2_0 and later).

A series of numbers or characters you use to connect to the NetSuite service.

Consumer Key Yes (Required when TOKEN BASED AUTHENTICATION is used.)

The unique identifier of the consumer that you use to connect to the NetSuite service; the Consumer Key is generated by NetSuite.

Consumer Secret Yes (Required when TOKEN BASED AUTHENTICATION is used.)

The password for your Consumer Key.

Token Id Yes (Required when TOKEN BASED AUTHENTICATION is used.)

The unique identifier of the token you use to connect to the NetSuite service, the Token Id is generated by NetSuite.

Token Secret Yes (Required when TOKEN BASED AUTHENTICATION is used.)

The password for your Token Id.

Endpoint URL Yes (Required) The URL of the endpoint you want to connect to.
Note: When you create a new connection, the default endpoint URL is https://webservices.netsuite.com/services/NetSuitePort_2017_2.
Session Count Yes (Required) The amount of session resources used to connect to a NetSuite service. The default session count is 1.
Note: You must input the correct session count that you purchased; otherwise, the NetSuite web service returns an exception.
Retrieve Account Information No Click Retrieve Account Information to automatically retrieve account information of the Login Account.
Note: Before you click Retrieve Account Information, you have to specify the values in Login Email and Login Password.
Test Connection No Click Test Connection to test whether the specified configuration fields are valid or not.
