Installing in GUI Mode

In GUI mode, the installer prompts you for information regarding the installation environment, installation profile, and other installation information.

Procedure

  1. From the TIBCO eDelivery website, open the physical media or download the installation package.
    To download the installation package, the TIBCO account credentials are required. If you do not have a user name and password, contact TIBCO Technical Support.
  2. Extract the content of the installation package in a temporary directory.
  3. Start the installation in one of the following ways:
    • On Microsoft Windows, double-click TIBCOUniversalInstaller-x86-64.exe.
    • On Linux, run TIBCOUniversalInstaller-lnx-x86-64.bin.
  4. On the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
  5. On the License Agreement page, read through the license agreement, click I accept the terms of the license agreement, and then click Next.
  6. In the TIBCO Installation Home page, click Use an existing TIBCO_HOME and select the existing installation environment where TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks is installed. Then click Next.

  7. In the Installation Profile Selection page, perform one of the following steps:
    • To install all the default components, in the left pane, click the Typical profile, and then click Next.
    • To select specific components to install, select the Customize Installation check box, and then select the components in the right pane. Click Next.

  8. In the PI Third Party Libraries page, specify the location of the PI JDBC Driver JAR file by clicking Browse, and then click Next.
  9. In the Pre-Install Summary page, review the list of products to be installed, and then click Install.
  10. In the Post Install Summary page, review the installation information, and then click Finish to complete the installation process and exit the universal installer.
