Installation Components

Different installation components are associated with different functions. Using TIBCO Universal Installer, you can select installation components during the installation.

Installation components are grouped into different installation profiles. One installation profile is associated with one or more installation components. When you select a profile, the components grouped to the selected profile are installed. By default, the Typical installation profile is selected, therefore, the Design and Runtime installation components are installed. The Migration components are by default unchecked in typical Installation.

During installation, if Migration profile is selected then all the components; design, runtime, Adapter to Plug-in Migration, and SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Migration components will be installed.

The following installation components are available for the plug-in:

Component Description
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Plug-in for SAP Solutions Design This component includes the palettes, shared resources, and samples that show how the plug-in interacts with TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™. You can configure your own business process in TIBCO Business Studio™ for BusinessWorks™ with an Eclipse user interface.
Note: This component cannot be installed alone without the runtime component.
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Plug-in for SAP Solutions Runtime This component passes and converts data to and from vendor applications. The parameters of data exchange are stored in projects that are created using the plug-in palette.
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Plug-in for SAP Solutions Migration This component includes the Adapter to Plug-in Migration and SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Migration option.

If the Adapter to Plug-in Migration option is selected, it converts projects created on TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for SAP on ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ 5.x or 6.x to Designer to ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Plug-in for SAP Solutions projects.

If the SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Migration option is selected it converts the Invoke RFC/BAPI in SAP activity of the ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for SAP Solutions plug-in to Consume OData Service activity of the TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Plug-in for OData Services for SAP S/4HANA.
Note:

  • The Adapter to Plug-in Migration component cannot be installed for Mac OS and any platform where Design is not supported.

  • The minimum required version for Adapter to Plug-in Migration is ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.6.1.
  • The minimum required version for SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Migration is ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.6.1 and TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Plug-in for OData Services for SAP S/4HANA 6.2.1
  • For migration to work on ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks and TIBCO BusinessWorks™ Container Edition, the Adapter to Plug-in migration component of TIBCO Adapter Migration must be installed.
