Preparing the SAP SuccessFactors System

SAP Business API Hub

The SAP API Business Hub website is used to test the APIs in a Sandbox environment provided by SAP.

Note: This section is only needed when the Tenant Type in the SAP SaaS Connection shared resource is set to Sandbox.
Before using the plug-in, create an account to the SAP API Business Hub by performing the following steps. If a login has already been created, you can skip these steps.
  1. Open a web browser, and navigate to https://api.sap.com.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the SAP API Business Hub home page, click Login.
  3. On the Log On dialog, click Register and complete the registration information.
Only basic authentication is supported to connect to the SAP API Business Hub. The user name and password provided during registration is used to configure the repository on the Configuration tab of SAP SaaS Connection shared resource.

SAP SuccessFactors Production Tenant

This section provides information for running the plug-in on an SAP SuccessFactors production tenant. You must first configure the tenant. To configure the production tenant and invoke services on an SAP SuccessFactors tenant, see Communication Management in SAP SuccessFactors documentation.

Note: For each API planned for use with the plug-in, ensure that the Communication Arrangement is configured appropriately. For more information, see SAP SuccessFactors documentation.

To invoke services in SAP SuccessFactors, the product tenant supports OAuth 2.0. To enable OAuth 2.0 configuration, configure the user accordingly.

Note: The SAP SuccessFactors production tenant no longer supports Basic Authentication.
