Installation Components

Different installation components are associated with different functions. Using TIBCO Universal Installer, you can select installation components during the installation.

Installation components are grouped into different installation profiles. One installation profile is associated with one or more installation components. When you select a profile, the components grouped to the selected profile are installed. By default, the Typical installation profile is selected, therefore, all the installation components are installed. The Migration profile is by default unchecked in a Typical Installation. During installation, if the Migration profile is selected then all the components; design, runtime, Adapter to Plug-in Migration components are installed. The following installation components are available for the plug-in:

Component Description
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks Plug-in for Siebel Design This component includes the palettes, shared resources, and samples that show how the plug-in interacts with TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks. You can configure your own business process in TIBCO Business Studio with an Eclipse user interface.
Note: This component cannot be installed alone without the runtime component.
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Plug-in for Siebel Migration If the Adapter to Plug-in Migration option is selected, it converts projects from TIBCO ActiveMatrix Businessworks™ 5.x Designer to TIBCO ActiveMatrix Businessworks™ 6.x Studio.
Note:
  • The Adapter to Plug-in Migration component cannot be installed for Mac OS and any platform where Design is not supported.

  • For TIBCO BusinessWorks™ Container Edition, TIBCO Adapter Migration 1.7.0 with component Adapter to Plug-in Migration must be installed on the version 2.5.3 of TIBCO BusinessWorks™ Container Edition and later.
