Plug-in Overview
This chapter gives a brief overview of TIBCO ActiveMatrix™ BusinessWorks and TIBCO ActiveMatrix™ BusinessWorks Plug-in for Transaction Insight®.
TIBCO ActiveMatrix™ BusinessWorks
TIBCO ActiveMatrix™ BusinessWorks is an easy to use integration product suite for enterprise, web, and mobile applications. It uses the Eclipse graphical user interface (GUI) for defining business processes and the process engine to execute them.
TIBCO ActiveMatrix™ BusinessWorks supports plug-ins that extend palette functionality. After installing a plug-in, a new plug-in Palette becomes available in TIBCO Business Studio™. You can add the plug-in activities to the business processes you are designing, and integrate them into the process flow. At runtime, the plug-in activities are executed as part of the TIBCO ActiveMatrix™ BusinessWorks process execution.

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Plug-in for Transaction Insight® provides access to components used in business processes supporting the TIBCO Foresight Transaction Insight® product.
- automate event alerting
- archive associated files into the TIBCO Foresight Archive and Retrieval System product (part of Transaction Insight)
- import EDI and Detail files into the Transaction Insight database
- match TIBCO Foresight Instream® results to Transaction Insight® data
- remove single transmissions from the Transaction Insight database
- perform Transaction Insight summarization activities.
