The following table describes the field on the Advanced tab of the SendShortMessage activity.

Field Module Property ? Description
Source Type of Number Yes Specifies the type of number for the source number.
Source Numeric Plan Indicator Yes Specifies the numeric plan indicator for the source number.
Destination Type of Number Yes Specifies the type of number for the destination number.
Destination Numeric Plan Indicator Yes Specifies the numeric plan indicator for the destination number.
SMSC Delivery Receipt Yes Selects the field to request a delivery receipt for the message.
Send Message Content within Yes Specifies the strategy of composing the message. Based on your requirement, select one of the following options:
  • Automatic: Select this mode to send messages in the body or payload depending on the message size.
  • Body: Select this mode to send messages in the body
  • Payload: Select this mode to send messages in the payload
Long Message Concatenation Yes Specifies the method to segment long messages that cannot be sent as a single message. Based on your requirement, select one of the following options:
  • UDH: Segment information is sent through User Data Header (UDH)
  • TLV: Segment information is sent through Tag Length Values (TLV)
  • Disabled: Select this mode if you are not dealing with long messages. An attempt to send a long message displays an error.
