Remarks

By implementing a custom node, new state and behavior can be added to the document. A custom node can listen to internal events from other nodes and update the document accordingly.

For example, a custom node on a page could listen to changes to the y-axis expression of any bar chart on that page and update the other bar charts accordingly.
