DataTable AddColumns Method

Adds columns from the columns retrieved from the dataSource using the settings in the settings parameter. Use CreateFileDataSource(String) to create a data source from a file path.

Parameters

dataSource: Type: Spotfire.Dxp.Data DataSource
The data source to retrieve the new columns from.

settings: Type: Spotfire.Dxp.Data AddColumnsSettings
The settings to use when adding the columns to the current table.

Return Value

Type: ColumnsChangedResult
Information about the changes that occured in the table.

Remarks

If the settings specifies a join condition based on a calculated column, that column must be frozen. See Freeze .
