Syntax

dataType: Type: Spotfire.Dxp.DataDataType
A non-null DataType instance.
initialValue: Type: SystemObject
The value. If null, the initial value will be null.

Type: DataValue
A new DataValue instance.

Exceptions

Exception	Condition
InvalidCastException	If the initial value is non-null and does not match the data type.
ArgumentNullException	If the data type is null.
