You can use the flexible licensing options to plan and deploy the TIBCO Data Science solution that works best for your organization.

TIBCO Data Science - Author

TIBCO Data Science - Author (including TIBCO Statistica and TIBCO Data Science - Team Studio) enables users to author the data science workflows and scripts.

TIBCO Data Science - Team Studio enables web-based authoring of data science applications. The software functionality is delivered as part of TIBCO® Data Science - Team Studio. This requires the installation of TIBCO Data Science - Team Studio on Processors licensed for TIBCO Data Science - Operations. TIBCO Data Science - Author also includes a Developer Eval license of TIBCO Data Science - Team Studio, as specified in the Order Form.

When TIBCO Data Science - Author is purchased as a ProdPlus license, each unit of ProdPlus includes one named User for use in any environments.

TIBCO Data Science - Operations

TIBCO Data Science - Operations includes TIBCO Statistica Server and TIBCO Data Science - Team Studio. It is offered as a cluster Pack.

For this offering, TIBCO defines Pack as either a processor that is used to run any of the services included in the software.

For the purpose of data prep and machine learning, 16 processors in a Hadoop or Spark cluster are accessed by the distributed TIBCO Data Science services.

With the TIBCO Data Science - Operations license, you can install any of the TIBCO Data Science server products on allocated licensed processors. You can reallocate those processors as you need.

Note: Allocate 16 processors on a Hadoop or Spark cluster instead of a single processor.

When TIBCO Data Science - Operations is purchased as a ProdPlus license, each unit of ProdPlus includes the following:

  • One unit of Production
  • Four units of Test
  • Unlimited number of units of Warm or Cold Standby
