Specific Marginal Table
Click the
Marginal means button on the
Statistics by Groups Results Descriptives
Select the specific factors for which you want to compute summary statistics. Those that are not selected will be ignored. For example, suppose there are three grouping variables Gender, Age Group, and Ethnic Origin. If you select (highlight) only Gender and Ethnic Origin, summary statistics will be computed for the two-way table of Gender by Ethnic Origin, ignoring (averaging over) Age Group.
Note: the marginal means (sums, standard deviations, etc.) are not necessarily identical to the averages across the non-selected factors. Rather, they represent weighted averages taking into account unequal
Ns across groups.
